You´re Dead Hélène
T’es morte Hélène
Michiel Blanchart
After finishing his high school studies at the Lycée En Forêt (France), with several amateur short films, Michiel decides to move to Belgium, his native country, to study at the IAD. In 2015, under the supervision of Benoit Mariage (famous Belgian director), he co-directs the short film "LULU" with Louise Dandraën. The film will be selected in several festivals and will win the BeTV prize at the BSFF. In 2016, he directs his graduation film "DYNAMAN", which will receive the highest score among the fiction films in the IAD jury that year. The film will later be purchased by Origine FILMS, selected at BIFFF, BSFF and broadcast on BeTV as well as in Air France’s aircrafts. During the summer of 2018, after a whimsical inspiration, Michiel directs the short film "CUL", produced by Formosa Productions and Daylight Films. The film has been selected at the BSFF (Betv Award Winner), Festival Tous Courts d'Aix-en-Provence and Festival de Comédie de Liège. His most recent projet « T’es morte Hélène » has won the Residence SOFILM Grand-Est, and has been supported by Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and Canal+. This short film will have its world premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival 2021 in national competition.
