Ollivier Briand

After a master's degree in cinema, Ollivier Briand worked as a programmer within the Arte channel. His first screenplay, Mistress, allows him to obtain the Best Scenario award by the City of Paris and to realize his first short film. Through this film, he depicts the troubled relationship between a teacher and his young student, sketching the excesses of an individual marked by his fantasies. He then produced and directed a second short, Quebra-cabeça, supported by the Lisbon City Council. Fascinated by the fantastic, he wrote his first feature film, Messe basse, orchestrating the ruthless rivalry between two women in love with the same ghost. The film, produced by Capricci, is currently in production. Under the lather, his third short film, allows him to persevere in the genre film and reconnect with the world of childhood that he particularly likes.
