Rubén Seca
Rubén Seca (06/22/1991, Bayreuth, Germany) studies the Diploma in Film Directing at the Escola de Cinema de Barcelona (ECIB). He made a large number of short films there, among which “Finca Règia” (2020) or “Esculpiendo en la memoria” (2018) stand out. The latter gets 80 awards and selections in festivals and was winner of Notodofilmfest 2018, with a jury composed of Guillermo Arriaga, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Paula Ortiz, Javier Fesser and Irene Blecua. He has directed and written about fifteen short films, which have totaled more than 200 international selections and won 30 awards. In 2021 he created his own film production company, Shoji Films, to provide an outlet for his projects as well as for new auteur films by up-and-coming directors. He is currently financing and producing two feature-length documentaries.
