Sophie Linnenbaum

Sophie Linnenbaum was born in Nuremberg. Her interest in social abysmalities was awakened early on by the pronounced love of ingroups among the locals there - cue the annual Bratwurstgripfel. So she studied psychology and worked as a playwright before she started her film studies at the filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in 2013. Her pointed short films have won several awards and screened at numerous national and international festivals, such as the multiple award-winning [OUT OF FRA]ME or PIX, which won the German Short Film Award. Most recently, she received the FFF Förderpreis Dokumentarfilm at DOK.Fest München for her current documentary STORIES OF DADS. She is currently working on her first feature length film.
