L'enfant salamandre
Théo Degen
Théo Degen was born in Brussels in 1997. He made a first short film in 2015 surrounding himself with non-professional child actors and joined the INSAS Film School the same year. He then continued his initial work on this short film following one young boy in particular, Florian Villez, who appears in three of his films. He endeavours to tell the stories of real people through imaginary stories that sometimes mix reality and fantasy. His latest film, "L'enfant salamandre" recounts the story of a 15 year-old boy who thinks he can communicate with the dead through fire, which makes him the weirdo of the village he lives in. His films are dreamlike and explore the point of view and universe of childhood.
