Chanrado Sok, Kongkea Vann
Chanrado Sok studied film and work at Bophana Center, the audiovisual resource organization founded by filmmaker Rithy Panh. He has also joined filmmaking and photography courses with the Institut Français in Phnom Penh, and the Busan Film Commission’s 2018 FLY program in Singapore. Sound of the Night (World Premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2021) is his first short fiction. Kongkea Vann graduated with his degree in film from the department of cinema at the School of Media of Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) in 2016 in Phnom Penh. Shortly after, he has been involved as a camera assistant in certain international projects, such as First They Killed My Father by Angelina Jolie in 2017 and the Australian feature film Buoyancy by Rodd Rathjen in 2019.Sound of the Night (World Premiere at Locarno Film Festival 2021) has become his first short film as co-director and cinematographer.
