This year, Bavarian Broadcasting (BR) is once again presenting a special exhibition at the Landshut Short Film Festival. The program “Wir in Bayern” (We in Bavaria, Mondays to Fridays from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m.) will feature eight films from the “Weibsbilder” (Women’s Images) series. The program will be hosted by “Wir in Bayern” presenter Sandra Bouscarrut.<\/p>\n

“Weibsbilder” \u2013 these are women who impress with their personalities, who hold their own in both small and large ways, and who demonstrate that they are definitely more than the “weaker sex.” They show how they balance family and career, live their passions, and realize their dreams. They are politically and socially engaged, thus serving as role models for the next generation. They have experienced highs and lows, but despite setbacks, they have not given up. True “Weibsbilder,” indeed.<\/p>\n

Together with editor Petra Renner, BR filmmakers have portrayed unique women in Bavaria whose wisdom can inspire others \u2013 and whose stories must be told.<\/p>\n
