An all-female western based on the ballad "The Gold Diggers" by E. Geibel.
1860.Amidst the gold rush, three women with a mule and a map drawn by an illiterate make their way up the mountains to search for gold.
The hardships of their endeavor bring a lonely widow closer together with the dubious German emigrants. But the more time they spend in the harsh wilderness, the more manners deteriorate the last bit humanity gives way to ruthless greed.
