We fell in love with Elle and Lui while the credits were still rolling, we laughed with them and shared their pain. Eric Boulianne explains the entire set up in less than two minutes. He has chosen a topic that is relevant and timeless: A couple can’t get pregnant.
The actors portray Elle and Lui in such a believable and humble way, we were grateful to be a part of their journey. The story was well paced, giving us the time to walk by their side, but to never get ahead. No line or tone felt out of place. The film manages to capture both, the frustration, and the joy of life. The intensity yet privacy of a topic that may feel so familiar to millions of people.
