25 years of the Landshut Short Film Festival,
25 years of film culture in Lower
Bavaria, a quarter of a century of short
films in Landshut.

When preparing for the 25th Landshut
Short Film Festival, we asked ourselves
where the time had gone. Wasn’t it only
yesterday that we used a 4k projector
from Sony for the first time? It was so
huge that it was already tight for our
technicians between the 35 mm projector,
various DVD and BluRay players
and VHS. The last 35 mm projector
was retired many years ago and we do
everything digitally. The vote for your
audience favorites has been online for
three years now. Maybe in 10 years
Michael and me will be at the opening
like ABBA—also just holograms. But we
are still available to you live and in color
throughout the festival, accompanied by
our wonderful team. This constant team
that is constantly developing and taking
on more and more responsibility.

I am so grateful for these wonderful people who
keep taking the festival to a new level
with their creativity and energy. Without
a team—no festival.

Every year I am grateful for our sponsors,
who stand by us loyally and are always so
much more to us than “financiers”. What
I am particularly pleased about this year
is the cooperation with the Crime Days.
A great idea to bring crime to Landshut
and of course we are happy to be involved.
A wall is a screen is also “back”
in Landshut and, as a festival appetizer,
shows us what beautiful walls there are
in Landshut. Be there and be inspired by
