One day, Zoe finds a zoetrope in the form of a record player in an abandoned hut. Fascinated by the sight of it, Zoe keeps bumping into the device until she realizes that one of the figures is moving out of position and begins to overtake its predecessor. Triggered by the zoetrope, what is actually impossible is now also transferred to Zoe's reality. As she overtakes her future self, her life gradually spirals out of control.
