We are very pleased to present your film in the competition of the 26th Landshut Short Film Festival. The festival will take place from March 11th to 16th, 2026 in Landshut, the capital of Lower Bavaria.

A. Information & material for the catalogue, website, social media & public relations
We would like to present your film in our festival catalogue and our networks in the best possible way and ask you to fill out the Movie-Data-Form online by January 9, 2026, at the latest.

Furthermore, we need:
- a photo of the director in high resolution as a JPG, PNG, JPEG
- a still from the film in high resolution as JPG PNG, JPEG
- a poster from the film, if available, as a JPG PNG, JPEG in high resolution
- a trailer from the film, if available, as a download in high definition

B. Screening Copy & Subtitles
As a screening copy of your film, we need a DCP or a Full HD file from which we can create a DCP.
The screening copy must be subtitled in English if the original language of the film is not English.
However, it would be nice if English language films also had English subtitles.
If possible, the subtitles should not be burned in. If possible, please send the subtitles as a file.
Please send the DCP, the HD file & the subtitles file to Markus Raab via download by January 31, 2026, at the latest:
C. Accreditation & Festival Passes
We would be very happy to welcome you personally as our guest in Landshut.
Participating filmmakers receive up to three festival passes for free.
More team members can be accredited for a fee of €30 per person.
The festival pass gives you free entry to all festival events.
Accreditation for the 26th Landshut Short Film Festival starts on January 11, 2026. The accreditation period ends on February 25, 2026.
You can find the link to accreditation on our homepage www.lakff.de under Industry.
You can get your festival passes during the festival at the info counter in Kinopolis.
You will receive all information about this with your accreditation application.
D. Travel Allowance
One travel allowance is granted for each accepted film.
The travel allowance can only be applied for once by one person, even if they have several films in the festival program. The travel allowance cannot be paid in cash but will be transferred to the person registered for it after the festival.
The travel allowance is a flat rate; we do not require any invoices or receipts.
Please note: The travel allowance can only be transferred if the applicant has picked up their festival pass at the information counter.
The travel allowance for participants is from:
- Bavaria € 80
- Rest of Germany € 150
- European countries € 250
- Rest of the world € 350
The application for travel expense reimbursement is included in the accreditation application.
E. Hotels & Accommodation
Unfortunately, we cannot cover any costs for hotels and accommodation.
You will receive a list of recommended hotels in Landshut with your accreditation application.

- Audience award, endowed with 2,000 euros
- Best comedy, jury award, endowed with 500 euros
International competition
- International Dräxlmaier Short Film Award, jury award, endowed with 2000 euros
- Audience award, endowed with 1,000 euros
Shock Blocks
- Deadline_Award, jury award, endowed with 1,000 euros
- Deadline_Audience Award, audience award, endowed with 300 euros
Documentary Competition
- DOK Award, jury award, endowed with 1,000 euros
Short For kids
- Shorts For Kids Award, audience award, endowed with 1,000 euros
Animation Competition
- Animation Award, jury award, endowed with 750 euros
DaHome Competition
- DaHome Award, jury award, endowed with 2,000 euros
Lokalrunde Competition
- Lokalrunde Preis, audience award, endowed with 500 euros
G. Special Events & Get Together
You will receive a list of all specials for the 26th Landshut Short Film Festival by email approximately one week before the festival.
