This year, Bayerischer Rundfunk will once again be represented at the Landshut Short Film Festival with a special programme. The programme “Wir in Bayern” (Mondays to Fridays from 4.15 to 5.30 pm) presents eight films from the “Weibsbilder” series. The programme is hosted by “Wir in Bayern” presenter Sandra Bouscarrut.

 “Weibsbilder” – these are women who impress with their personality, who stand up for themselves in small and large ways and show that they are definitely more than the “weaker sex”. They show how they combine family and career, live their passions and realise their dreams. They are politically and socially committed and are therefore pioneers for the next generation. They have experienced ups and downs, but have not given up despite some strokes of fate. Real “Weibsbilder”, in other words. 

Together with editor Petra Renner, BR filmmakers have portrayed unique women in Bavaria whose wisdom can encourage others – and whose stories need to be told.
