This year, Bayerischer Rundfunk is once again presenting a special show at the Landshut Short Film Festival. The program Wir in Bayern (Monday to Friday from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) presents eight films from the “Weibsbilder” series. Wir in Bayern presenter Sandra Bouscarrut will lead the program.

“Weibsbilder” – these are women who impress with their personalities, who stand up for themselves in small and large things and show that they are definitely more than the “weaker sex”. They show how they combine family and career, live their passions and realize their dreams. They are politically and socially active and are thus pioneers for the next generation. They have been able to experience highs and traversed valleys, but have not given up despite some strokes of fate. Real “Weibsbilder” in fact.

Together with editor Petra Renner, BR filmmakers have portrayed unique women in Bavaria whose life wisdom can encourage others – and whose stories must be told.
