Why wander far afield? As organizers of the Landshut Film Festival, it is particularly important to us to promote and honor the creative talent in the film sector in our region. After this alternative interpretation of the term “Heimatfilm” was very well received last year, we are pleased to be awarding the Lokalrunde Prize again this year in cooperation with the Landshuter Zeitung. This new prize is aimed specifically at filmmakers from Lower Bavaria and the larger Landshut area or at productions that deal with the topic of Lower Bavaria.

Celebrate Landshut’s lively cultural scene with us and see how close the good things are! During the screening on Saturday of the festival, the audience will use an applause meter to decide which of the six nominated films will win the Lokalrunde Prize worth €500. Some filmmakers will certainly not be afraid of the short journey and there will be the opportunity for stimulating conversations about the authentic voices and perspectives in the Lower Bavarian film landscape.
